HOME WITHIN,

 REIMAGINED

A deeply personal approach to creating a home that reflects who we are now.

Our homes, wardrobes and daily habits accumulate over time. They hold memories, identities and attachment —some that continue to serve us and others that no longer reflect who we've become

The work isn't about discarding your history or imposing someone else's idea of who you should be. It's about recognizing what is genuinely yours, letting go of what no longer fits, and creating an environment, personal style and daily life that better reflect who you are now.

DESIGNING AROUND THE PERSON, NOT IMPOSING DESIGN UPON THEM

After nine years in her family home, the owner was ready for change—but not for a home that no longer felt like hers. Her rooms held decades of memories: objects gathered through extensive world travel and visits to sacred and spiritual places, family photographs, art, and deeply personal mementos.

Rather than strip those layers away, I began with them. Existing pieces were edited, repositioned and given new context; furnishings, textiles and accessories were introduced selectively. The objective was not to impose my own aesthetic, but to understand the person who lived there and create an environment that felt more harmonious, intentional and unmistakably her own.

The transformation was subtle in places, significant in others. What mattered most was the client's response: she described feeling a renewed sense of self and belonging in her home.

Joel Lasher

Joel began his career in fashion, working in couture design where he created custom gowns and high-end sportswear tailored to the individual. That philosophy continues to inform his approach to interiors and staging today: every home has its own architecture, history and character, just as every person has an individual way of living.

As a licensed real estate salesperson, Joel also brings an understanding of how a home will be seen and experienced in the marketplace—how it will photograph, how it can be presented visually, and how buyers will respond from the moment they walk through the door. Rather than imposing a look, he works to reveal what is already compelling about a property and present it at its best.

Joel believes the most effective design—and the most persuasive presentation—comes from a place of authenticity. Homebuyers instinctively recognize when a home speaks to their aspirations and the way they imagine living.
